If you're looking for a spot in South Florida with true family-friendly activities, Pembroke Gardens has been doing something really special. They recently launched PembrokeKIDS, a year-round initiative that partners with stores and restaurants right in the center to host hands-on, kid-focused events. Think story time at Barnes & Noble, cooking classes with Lime, arts & crafts workshops, and seasonal holiday fun, all designed with families in mind.
And this past weekend, we got to experience it for ourselves!
The event was held inside Kendra Scott, and it was the cutest drawing class hosted alongside Cosmic Kids. The setup was adorable, tables covered in craft mats, samples for inspiration, and lots of encouragement from the team.
My kids loved watching their designs come to life. The best part was seeing how proud they were to take home something they made themselves. It was creative, hands-on, and had just the right amount of structure to keep them engaged without feeling rushed.
If you’re a parent, you know that’s the sweet spot.
After the event, we strolled right over to Brimstone, which is one of the most kid-friendly restaurants at Pembroke Gardens. They have outdoor seating (perfect wiggle room for little ones), a good kids’ menu, and quick service — huge wins if you’re dining with toddlers. We shared flatbreads, fresh salads, and of course… fries. The kids were happy, which means we were happy.
What I love about PembrokeKIDS is that these events feel intentional — they’re not just activities to fill time. They’re hands-on experiences that kids actually learn from and remember. And they give parents something we’re always looking for:
✔️ Something engaging
✔️ Something safe
✔️ Something new
✔️ And something that doesn’t require a full day of planning
Plus, the partnership aspect means every event has its own flavor. No two are the same, and that keeps it exciting.
PembrokeKIDS hosts at least one event every month, with extra fun lined up for the holiday season. So if you're local or near Pembroke Pines, I highly highly recommend keeping your eye on their upcoming schedule.
Your kids get to create, learn, and explore and you get a fun, easy day out with the family. It's honestly a win for everyone.
Stay tuned ! I’ll be sharing more upcoming events soon so you don’t miss the next one!
